Join your New Light family for Shakesbeer - a night of revelry and Shakespearean shenanigans!
NLT’s Shakesbeer features some familiar faces and a chance to soak up some of the English language’s most beautiful poetry like a true Groundling - with a buzz on. Grab a slice of pizza and a cold beer (or root beer), play some Shakespeare trivia, Bard bingo, or pick your favorite actor and spin the monologue wheel, then sit back and sip while they regale you with their impromptu and irreverent interpretations of whatever speech fate stops the wheel upon. Throw the rules for stodgy Shakespeare out yonder window, revel and raise a glass with us!
Shakesbeer will take place at the Delaware History Museum in Old Town Hall on Saturday, April 25th at 7PM. Tickets are $10, and include admission and two vouchers to be redeemed on pizza, beer or the wheel. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, and extra vouchers may be purchased at the event.
